2026 Wildfire and Earthquake Safety Expo

Event Description

The public is invited to this county-wide event sponsored by Northern Sonoma County CERT and FireSafe Sonoma.  Doors open to the public at 10:00am and the event closes at 3:00pm.

CERT volunteers are requested to arrive and sign up for shifts starting at  8:30am and ending around 4:00pm.

This is the largest public exposition relating to Fire and Earthquake Safety that is held in Sonoma County each year.  Approximately 4,000 visitors are expected.  There are free give-away go-bags and about 100 exhibitors and demonstrations, presentations, live helicopter rescues, training on CPR/AED and Fire Extinguishers, and much, much more.

We are seeking CERT volunteers to help us staff the CERT area at the annual Sonoma County Wildfire & Earthquake Expo the day after the simulation, Sunday, April 26.  Some positions are seated (e.g. distributing literature) and some are standing (e.g. helping kids “drive” the CERT Firetruck). Please let me know if you can work any shift on Sunday:

8:30 – 11:00 – Set up and first hour after gates open (includes pancake breakfast)

11:00 – 1:30 – Staffing CERT area, assisting with public training (CPR/AED and Fire Extinguisher)

1:30 – 4:00 – One and ½ hour staffing and assisting in take down and storing
